A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
"Born around the fire, enjoyed everywhere."
The best bonds of my life have been forged through adventure. In my early years, that meant chasing swells across continents, surfboards strapped to the roof, sleeping off dirt roads, and sharing meals cooked over open flames with strangers who became family. We’d tell stories around the fire, laugh until the coals dimmed, and wake up to chase the next moment, whether it was perfect waves or a sunrise over a mountain pass. The thread that connected us wasn’t the destination, although it helped. It was presence. Presence of place, people, the moment in front of us. It was being fully there and in that moment.
PARKIT was born from a desire to bring people back to the moment. To create gear that invites connection, fuels exploration, and helps you soak in the memories that matter. Now, that idea of presence means even more. These days, the adventures look a little different, road trips with my wife, watching our son discover the world for the first time, and carving out space for real connection in the chaos of everyday life. But the purpose is the same: to be fully there for it. Whether you’re parked on a beach with your kids, riverside with friends, or in a forest with someone you love, these are the moments that define a life well lived.
We don’t build just for comfort or funcationality (we do appreciate those attributes) we build for meaning. Because when the fire’s crackling and the sky lights up in colors of pinks, oranges & purples, the only thing that really matters is, were you truly there for it?

PARKIT was born around the fire. It was founded by people who believe that spending quality time outdoors, with the people we cherish most, will always allow us to experience the best of what life has to offer. This belief is at the core of everything we do. When we set out to build the ultimate outdoor chair we knew we were doing more than innovating a product line. We were building a product that would stand as a symbol, bringing people together from all walks of life, sharing their stories of adventure, and enabling our community to grow.
