Fireside Feast: Crafting the Perfect Spicy Margarita

Fireside Feast: Crafting the Perfect Spicy Margarita

Picture this: the rugged beauty of Baja Mexico, where the desert meets the sea, and the air is filled with the scent of adventure. It's here, amidst the untamed ocean, that I found myself on a camping trip like no other. Nestled under a canopy of stars, with the crackle of a campfire warming our spirits & smashing waves getting us excited for tomorrow's incoming swell, our group was ready for the perfect spicy margarita... WHEN IN MEXICO!

Ingredients For The Perfect Spicy Margarita:

- 2 oz Tequila (Reposado is our preference)
- 1 oz Triple Sec or Cointreau
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- ½ oz Agave Syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2-3 slices Jalapeño (adjust to desired spice level)
- Chili salt or Tajin for rimming the glass
- Ice cubes
- Lime wedges and jalapeño slices for garnish

Instructions For Full Flavor:

1. Rim the Glass:
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we gathered around our makeshift bar and began by rimming our glasses with chili salt, reminiscing about the day's adventures as we dipped each glass.

2. Muddle Jalapeño:
We muddled jalapeño slices in the bottom of our cocktail shaker.

3. Add Ice and Ingredients... Shake it up!
Time to put the rest of the ingredients into the shaker & shake it up!

4. Strain, Garnish and Enjoy:
We garnished our cocktails with lime wedges and jalapeño slices, adding the finishing touch to our masterpiece. As we raised our glasses, we toasted to the adventures that lay ahead and the memories we had made together.

In the heart of Baja Mexico, we discovered more than just a recipe for the perfect spicy margarita. We found friendship, adventure, and a deep appreciation for local markets & food. So, the next time you find yourself under the Baja stars, gather your ingredients, shake up a batch of spicy margaritas, and raise a glass to the moment. Cheers to fireside tales!
