6 Months ago, we began pursuing our partnership with 1% for the Planet and today, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to all of the adventurers who have allowed us to take significant steps in supporting our global community.

Since the launch of PARKIT, we’ve sold over 3,000 units of The Voyager outdoor recreational use chair. This has enabled our partnership with SeaTrees & Sustainable surf to make an incredible impact considering we’ve only been in business since May of 2020. The best part, thanks to the support of our Voyager Outdoor Chair Pre-Order customers, PARKIT has been able to plant more than 3,300 mangrove trees across the waters of Biak Indonesia. 

Seeing an idea flourish into tangible action is an exhilarating feeling that we could not have accomplished without your support. It goes to show that with enthusiasm and collaboration, small actions can create a massive impact on shaping a better world. Together, we have helped provide sustainable employment for two villages on Biak Island, helped to protect Biak's Island communities from storm surges and sea-level rise, created critical habitat for threatened species, and sequestered carbon in one of the most efficient ways possible. In fact, Mangrove forests are 5x more effective at restructuring carbon dioxide into breathable oxygen than any other tropical forests.

Of course, there is still much more to accomplish, and we have some lofty goals ahead. Our initial goal was to plant 10,000 mangroves this year, and because we believe in never shying down from a challenge, we ask again for your support in reaching this goal. SeaTrees will continue to be an outstanding and effective operation that is ready to get their hands in the dirt. It’s time to inspire friends and family as we continue utilizing VOYAGER as a tool to increase the impact we can have on our home planet.

The positive change which has already sprouted is an incredible feat for PARKIT’s first year.
